A freewheeling rock and roll record with a southern soul edge, Modern Blues was recorded in Nashville by a line up including Muscle Shoals legend David Hood on bass , Austin guitarslinger Zach Enrst, and Memphis keyboard wizard Brother Paul, all of whom play in 2015 touring line up of the band. The join Mike Scott, Irish electric fiddle great Steve Wickham and ace drummer Ralph Salmins at a time when the relevance and popular reach of The Waterboys has never been greater.

Shaping up to be another whirlwing year for Paul Weller, a second tour is announced for the latter part of the year with a 10 date arena tour in the winter taking in towns across the UK from Brighton to Glasgow. This follows the sold out March jaunt which sees Paul play the less often visited towns of the UK. Support for the winter tour is Scottish trio Young Fathers who won the 2014 Mercury Music Prize for their debut album "Dead".

The three part harmonies and inspired song-writing of this partnership have been delighting fans for over three decades. David Crosby of The Byrds, Stephen Stills of Buffalo Springfield and Graham Nash of the Hollies came together in 1968 and quickly set about recording their self-titled debut album, a mix of folk, pop and rock which was entirely in keeping with the times. The group has been splitting up and reuniting ever since, sometimes with the addition of Neil Young, and they've found a receptive audience every time. In 1997 they were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, a fitting recognition of their contribution to American popular music.
